For seniors with ongoing joint health issues, where’s the safe space to rediscover movement?
Hi there,

I'm Iain Harrington, a musculoskeletal healthcare professional. That’s just a fancy way of saying I help people with bone, joint, muscle, and tendon issues. Over the years, I’ve worked with thousands of seniors to improve their joint health, balance, strength, and overall fitness.

If you’re like many of my clients, you might feel like there’s nowhere safe to go to rebuild your strength and confidence to stay active. Maybe you're dealing with things like:

-
Hip or knee arthritis
-
Osteoporosis
-
Age-related muscle loss (Sarcopenia)
-
Balance problems or falls
-
Spinal stenosis

After spending countless hours working one-on-one with people managing these conditions, I realized it’s time to bring us together as a group to support each other, have fun, and get stronger together. And that’s exactly what Active & Able is all about!
What Kind of Fitness is Active & Able?
Most people think it's going to be boring, too hard or unsafe when we think of fitness.

In Active & Able, the priority is to enjoy the experience of moving. Why do anything in life if you can't have fun. Yes, we'll be challenging ourselves because that's how we grow. But we can do so safely and with a sense of play.

Together, we'll be working on:

- Balance
- Strength
- Stamina
- Co-ordination
- And a Whole More

All of which will help you enjoy your life more.

Where, When & How Much are the Sessions?
Where
The facility is called "Elevate".
It's a beautiful (and huge) 5,400 sq ft facility in Willow Point across from Ken Ford Park. It's filled with hundreds of different types of fitness equipment that helps you find ways of moving that are challenging for you, but meets you where your at. The fitness sweet spot.

I've spent hundreds of hours with seniors here and 99.99% of them love it.
When
Well that's up to you.

I'm just starting this program, so I need your help. I need to know what days and times work best for you. Once I have that feedback I can schdule sessions that work best for most of the group.

They will be 60 minute sessions 2 times per week.

If exercise was a drug, everyone on planet earth would be given a prescription.

When we invest in something, we’re more likely to stick with it. You'll stay consistent, and as a result, see bigger improvements. Exercise is proven to lower your risk of falls, boost your strength, bone density, cardiovascular health, improve your quality of life and mood. Fitness really does change everything for the better.

So, ask yourself: is $29/week worth a healthier, happier life?
